Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has splintered off on his own before--first in 2006 with his solo album, "Eraser," and currently with Atoms for Peace, his collaboration with Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea and drummer Mauro Refosco--but so far, he's always come back to the iconic band.

Radiohead bass player Colin Greenwood recently told BBC 6 Music that although "We're taking some time out whilst people are doing some other stuff, doing their own things," "the plan is to get back together again [at the] end of the summer."

The album would be Radiohead's ninth, following their experimental 2011 "King of Limbs" for which they launched an international tour in 2012.
