President Barack Obama made a surprise appearance in a sketch on Stephen Colbert's "Late Show" on Monday, giving a mock job interview as he prepares to leave office in January.
"Honestly, there wasn't a lot of room for advancement at my last job," Obama said when asked why his fake résumé didn't include any promotions in the last eight years. "The only one with a more powerful position was my wife."
"It doesn't say here," Colbert (as office manager Randy) said, reading Obama's résumé. "Where were you born?"
"Why don't we move on," a deadpanned Obama shot back.
Among his awards and commendations, the President noted his "almost thirty honorary degrees."
"And I did win the Nobel Peace Prize," he added. Asked for what: "To be honest, I still don't know."
