On Tuesday morning, the nominates for the 89th Academy Awards were announced. The front-runner is "La La Land," which tied "Titanic" for the most nominations, with 14. Damien Chazelle's crowd-pleasing Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling-led musical is in the running for best director, best original screenplay, best original score and two nominations for best original song — "City of Stars" and "Audition (The Fools Who Dream"). Stone and Gosling are each nominated for best actress and actor, respectively.

"Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda takes one step closer to the coveted EGOT status (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award-winner) with a Best Original Song nod for "How Far I'll Go" from Disney's "Moana."
Unlike the last two rounds of nominations, the 2017 Academy Awards will apparently not be #OscarsSoWhite.
The winners will be announced Sunday, Feb. 26. Jimmy Kimmel will host the telecast.
