With St. Patrick's Day coming up Saturday, we're honoring all of our Irish friends with this classic vaudeville-era performance by the wonderful Billy Murray and Steve Porter. Dialect comedy made up a large part of the vaudeville repertoire and, as this routine shows, Murray and Porter were masters of the style. The humorous effect of the verbal sparring between "Riley" and "Mack" would no doubt be aided by a couple of pints of green beer. I'm just saying.
