- - - - - - - - - - - - Series Biography: Civil Rights Heroes (8 p.m., A&E) profiles Rudy Dee and Ossie Davis, Boston Celtics great Bill Russell and 1963 March on Washington organizer John Lewis. Well, it's the end of the line for The Mole (8 p.m., ABC). Who was the saboteur? Who wins the money? What's with Anderson Cooper's hair? All will be revealed. The new sitcom Some of My Best Friends (8 p.m., CBS), a remake of the modest 1997 indie film hit "Kiss Me Guido," stars Jason Bateman as a gay writer rooming with a dimwitted hetero (Danny Nucci). Bette (8:30 p.m., CBS) moves to a new time slot, right after "Best Friends." In accordance with the stereotypes that make network TV what it is, CBS is counting on "Best Friends" to pull in gay viewers, who will stick around for "Bette," because, you know, every gay man loves Miss M. Every meaningless fling must come to an end, and so we say farewell to Temptation Island (9 p.m., Fox). On The West Wing (9 p.m., NBC), the staffers gear up for the annual "Big Block of Cheese Day," where Leo makes them listen to any marginal interest group and crackpot who shows up at the door. On Law & Order (10 p.m., NBC), the detectives investigate the death of a cast member of a reality TV show. Hey, didn't "Diagnosis Murder" already do this one?
Specials Comedy legend Carl Reiner, creator of "The Dick Van Dyke Show," is honored with the Mark Twain Prize for humor in The Kennedy Center Presents (8 p.m., PBS, check local listings). Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Mel Brooks, Jerry Seinfeld and Rob Reiner are among the admirers giving testimonials. Sports
