Karen Hughes likened abortion rights groups to a terror network over the weekend. Randall Terry preferred the Hitler comparison. This is from a CNN transcript: Note the so-bad-it's-almost-funny failure of the CNN anchor to ask a follow-up question, or really even break stride at the Nazi talk.
RENAY SAN MIGUEL, CNN ANCHOR: You've talked about this being a grass roots issue but you've no doubt seen this list of celebrities who will be attending [the March for Women's Lives] a mile long. I wanted to ask you, where are the anti- abortion celebrities? Name some names, here. Who of the people that are seen all over the media are on your side of the issue?
RANDALL TERRY: Mother Teresa, John Paul II. To be honest with you, I kind of smirk and laugh at this whole celebrities thing because when child killing is made illegal, these celebrities who have attached their names to this, their names are going to have a certain amount of shame with it. Remember, Adolf Hitler in the mid '30s had really big crowds and had a lot of famous people saying he was a great guy. It didn't do him much good in 1945.
RENAY SAN MIGUEL: Randall Terry, president of the Society for Truth and Justice, thank you so much for joining us. We appreciate your time.
RANDALL TERRY: My pleasure. Thank you.
