Here are some of the things done by Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle recently that have attracted negative attention (it is easiest to just round them up in listicle format than to report on each one, individually):
- Telling a hypothetical victim of rape and incest who is considering an abortion to make "what was really a lemon situation into lemonade."
- Calling the BP escrow fund a "slush fund" and accusing the government of an "overreaction."
- Then, not just walking her statement back, but completely contradicting the entire point of it, by saying not just that she shouldn't have used the term "slush fund," but also that "the creation of this fund to compensate victims was an important first step."
- And she is still threatening to sue Harry Reid for rehosting her old campaign website, from before she had GOP consultants editing the crazy out of her positions.
I think Harry Reid has already produced a dozen campaign ads based around each one of those bullet points. Just a regular day in the campaign of another wonderful Tea Party success story.
