Daily Download: "Barnowl," Caribou

It's old news, but Dan Snaith's electronics project, Manitoba, has been renamed Caribou after threats from litigious dope Handsome Dick Manitoba. "Barnowl" is the final track on "The Milk of Human Kindness" (Snaith's first release under the new name), and it's masterful, combining all the diaphanous sonic pleasures of contemporary laptop pop with the mesmerizing drive of Krautrock or modern classical minimalism and overlaid with a Lennon-esque melody, sung in breathy, gorgeous harmony.
