If you're almost any place on the Eastern Seaboard today, you're probably all too aware of the blanket of snow that's covering the ground. As usual, Matt Drudge is aware of it too, and he's still doing his best to act surprised.
The reason for the conservative media maven's interest -- indeed the interest of conservative media generally -- is that there's a bit of a coincidence in the timing of this storm. It just so happens that there's a big rally related to global warming going on in Washington, D.C. today, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was scheduled to speak. But with all the snow, her flight was delayed, and she had to cancel her appearance. So did Rep. Edward Markey, D-Mass., who chairs a key subcommittee on the issue, according to the right-wing outlet CNSNews.com.
Seems like whenever there's a coincidence like this, Drudge goes crazy, but as I've explained before, he should probably just stick to his day job and leave science to scientists. A single anecdote, whichever side of the issue it favors, isn't proof of anything.
