The House GOP's attempt to take away a big Democratic talking point by announcing a budget of their own last week didn't go so well. This week, they're reportedly readying to try again, and the budget they'll introduce in the House might actually include details. The Democratic National Committee, meanwhile, is launching a preemptive strike against them.
The DNC is re-releasing a Web ad it put out last week attacking the House Republicans' budget (or lack thereof), and putting it on television this time. They're not shelling out the big bucks it would require to run the spot nationwide, or even in a few swing districts, but are airing it on cable in Washington, D.C. In other words, they're hoping to use the ad to reach key opinionmakers and keep the Democrats' preferred narrative -- that the GOP has no actual solutions, just complaints -- on the airwaves.
Titled "Zero," the ad hits the House GOP for not including any numbers in the budget plan it released last week. You can watch it below.
