We've won more than our share of Webby Awards, and while we always like to be nominated -- and win -- in the officially judged competition, I'm fond of our "People's Choice" awards, which we last won in 2007. This year we're nominated for the official award in News, as well as the People's Choice award. So go here and vote! We also won honoree status in two categories for Open Salon.
Salon has also been nominated for a National Magazine Award this year, specifically for Open Salon. There's no way you can vote for that one, but think good thoughts for us. It's an enormous breakthrough that the American Society of Magazine Editors values the work of Open writers almost as much as we do. The award is presented April 30; fingers crossed.
