The new TV movie Love Letters (9 p.m., ABC) stars Laura Linney and Steven Weber as friends who keep their childhood crush alive through the decades via the title correspondence. A.R. Gurney adapted his play for TV; Stanley Donen directed. Lynn Whitfield stars in the new cable move Dangerous Evidence: The Lori Jackson Story (9 p.m., Lifetime), the true story of a civil rights activist seeking justice for a Marine accused of rape. The Discovery Channel Eco-Challenge (9 p.m., Discovery) race across Morocco concludes with competing teams dropping like flies from exhaustion, altitude sickness and water-borne parasites. Fun!

Biography (8 p.m. EDT/9 PDT, A&E) profiles the Heinz family of ketchup fame. Ally McBeal (9 p.m., Fox) reruns the one where the firm consults Bobby Donnell (Dylan McDermott of "The Practice") on a murder case. Ray is jealous of his friend Andy's journalistic success on a rerun of Everybody Loves Raymond (9 p.m., CBS). Investigative Reports (9 p.m. EDT/10 PDT, A&E) uncovers "The Nazis' Secret Killing Squads," featuring the firsthand account of former Nazi war crimes prosecutor Ben Ferencz. The American Experience (check local times, PBS) reruns "America and the Holocaust: Deceit and Indifference," a critical look at the lack of State Department response to the plight of European Jews during World War II.
