Series

On Survivor (8 p.m., CBS), the two tribes consolidate into one, but old loyalties die hard. Fox combats "Survivor" with a bonus rerun of The Simpsons (8 p.m., Fox); it's the delectable "Behind the Music" parody. The new teen drama series Young Americans (9 p.m., WB) premieres. This sort-of "Dawson's Creek" spinoff (star Rodney Scott appeared on a few "Creek" episodes) sends a blue-collar lad to a posh New England boarding school, where he finds love, heartbreak and snobbery. 20/20 (10 p.m., ABC) reports on women in hate groups. The Sopranos (10 p.m., HBO) reruns the one where Tony hosts a high-stakes poker game, during which the gambling-addicted dad of one of Meadow's school friends (played by Robert Patrick) runs up quite a debt. In the players' lingo, that's a lot of boxes of ziti. Oz (11 p.m., HBO) begins a new season with more of the gentle charm with which we've come to associate this series.

Specials

The new cable movie Out of Sync (9 p.m., VH1) is a comedy about a homemaker (Gail O'Grady) who becomes the singing voice, Milli Vanilli-style, for an attractive but talentless babe (Kari Wuhrer).
