Series

Gossip queen Liz Smith is profiled on Intimate Portraits (7 p.m., Lifetime). Susan Sarandon plays a soap diva on a rerun of Friends (8 p.m., NBC). The new reality series Spy TV (8:30 p.m., NBC) could also be titled "Extreme Candid Camera" -- a hidden camera captures crueler-than-usual pranks pulled on the unsuspecting. Michael Ian Black of "Ed" hosts. Will & Grace (9 p.m., NBC) reruns the one where Grace sells her old car to a nun (Ellen DeGeneres) and Jack thinks his father is black. 48 Hours (10 p.m., CBS) looks at the state of marriage in America. Dr. Drew Pinsky and "The Rules" coauthor Ellen Fein comment.

Specials

VH1 All Access: Rock & Religion (10 p.m., VH1) chronicles the sometimes adversarial, sometimes symbiotic relationship between the devil's music and spirituality. Maybe this show will answer the eternal question: Why are Bob Dylan's and Prince's religious ponderings so interesting and Creed's and Sixpence None the Richer's so lame?

Sports

Baseball:
Yankees at Tigers (7 p.m., Fox Family)

Talk

Rosie O'Donnell (syndicated) Tim Robbins, Lorraine Bracco, Julia Stiles (rerun)
David Letterman (CBS) Ewan McGregor, Moby
Jay Leno (NBC) Arsenio Hall
