Like many progressive groups, the folks at MoveOn.org emailed their network of supporters on Nov. 3rd to try to buck up the troops. And while its candidate for president lost in 2004, MoveOn appears to have already helped launch another political career. MoveOn's Eli Pariser forwarded an email he received from someone motivated to action by Bush's re-election:
Subject: Running for Congress
Eli,
In light of what happened yesterday, my friend and I have decided to get personally involved. He wants to run for Congress in 2006, and I'm his campaign manager at this point. Do you know of a good information source for how we handle the legalities of forming a campaign, opening bank accounts, registering with the FEC, etc?
Thanks,
Chris
