Daily Download: "The Way," Mia Doi Todd

"The Way" is the opening track of Mia Doi Todd's new record, "Manzanita." On this song she's backed by Dead Meadow (featured a few weeks ago in Audiofile), and the band's portentous sound complements Todd's somewhat oversauced voice perfectly, resulting in a dark, doomful track that's the best on the record by a considerable margin.
