Daily Download: “Born Into the World,” Supersystem

Supersystem is a renamed, rejiggered version of eclectic D.C. experimentalists El Guapo — a band that was never actually all that good. The music they’re making under their new name is a good deal more fun to listen to, at least judging from their first single, the synth pop meets Afro-pop “Born Into the World.” The guitar hook, which for all I know might be copped directly from a hit on Egyptian radio or something, is killer.
