This week's free download on iTunes, 24-year-old Def Jam recording artist, Ludacris sidekick and all-around smooth operator Bobby Valentino's "Come Touch Me" is worth grabbing. It has frightfully bad, unsexy sex lyrics and some meandering vocal melodies (in many ways this track strikes me as a mainstream counterpart to the tremendously strange Aloe Blacc song I wrote about a little while back), but it also has a delicious, cheesy synth string sound and -- the oddest production decision I've heard in a while -- an unrelenting Morse code blip that plays through the entire track. Also available, but not for free, is Valentino's single "Slow Down," a super-seductive slow jam with an irresistible and absurd unison harp and vocal in the chorus.
