Daily Download: "Oslo Skyline," Jaga

The 10-piece Norwegian band Jaga, previously known as Jaga Jazzist, has been working on an unusual blend of jazz, electronica and post-rock for more than a decade now, and in the process building up an impressively large fan base (the record from which this track is taken, "What We Must," reached No. 3 on the pop charts in Norway). In "Oslo Skyline," the jazz is deemphasized, and a sweeping melodicism takes over -- think M83 or Godspeed You Black Emperor with some of the drama and passion muted in favor of an extra dash of sophistication.
