A testament to the extreme polarizing power of the extremely precious, this adored and despised band helped bring the words "twee" and "fey" into common American usage, as people scrounged for ways to describe the unbearably delicious cuteness of it all. "Take Your Carriage Clock and Shove It," typically winsome and barbed, is from 2001's "Jonathan David" EP and is being made available for download to promote "Push Barman to Open Old Wounds," a 25-track compilation of the band's seven EPs that were originally released on the Jeepster label. The new compilation is a must for fans, since much of the band's best material has always been saved for EPs.
