Daily Download: "Second Date," OCS

This track from Coachwhips singer John Dwyer's side project OCS is thick with atmosphere, and very strange atmosphere at that: a guitar treated with echoing delay that makes it both warmer and more distant and tentative, a halting floor tom and snare drum part, and a lonely, faraway voice that starts to sound very creepy indeed once you realize that it's singing about murdering someone. Mesmerizing.
