Mt. Erie's music sounds as if it's made in a remote, isolated and damp locale -- which it basically is, as the man behind the music, Phil Elvrum, resides in Anacortes, Wash. Elvrum has put the seven tracks of a limited-edition EP up on archive.org for free download, available in a variety of formats on this page. It's lonely, alienated music -- guitar, piano and simple percussion, with Elvrum's shaky voice sometimes joined by a chorus of the bereaved. I particularly like "With My Hands Out" and the ominous "November 22nd 2003, 4:45pm."
