Sweden's Acid House Kings make shamelessly derivative, rather twee retro pop music -- it's so free of guile, so determined to make you smile, that begrudging their lack of originality would be simply humbuggish. Here the band sounds kind of like a well-rehearsed version of fellow backward-looking cutesies Saturday Looks Good to Me, and the vintage production touches are perfect, but the most striking thing is Niklas Angergard's soaring and strangely plastic voice.
