Exclusive Daily Download: "C'est Aujourd'hui Grande F

"Bound for Canaan" is a new solo CD of traditional songs from eastern Canada and New England by Keith Murphy, guitarist, mandolinist and singer in Nightingale. (Check out the Salon exclusive download of that band's "Hills/Mulqueen's.") The standout track is this Quebecois song, lonely and serene despite its seize-the-day love song theme. Murphy accompanies himself on piano with an arrestingly beautiful riff that I'd love to hear Kanye West use as a sample.
