Daily Download: "The Clown," Elefant

Elefant's new-wavey 2003 debut, "Sunlight Makes Me Paranoid," seemed like a timely, buzz-worthy record that never quite caught the buzz, although it was superior to a number of similar but more successful contemporaneous releases. Their follow-up, "Black Magic Show," is coming out next April, and this sneak preview MP3 is promising: a choppy, frenetic waltz that bursts and swells into something of swooning grandeur in the chorus.
