There was no doubt who the star of MSNBC’s coverage of the Stanley “Tookie” Williams execution was last night. With her dominatrix jacket and sandpaper voice, anchor Rita Cosby (or “Throaty McHuskington,” as Jon Stewart calls her) was chosen to be one of 17 media representatives to witness Williams’ execution. And neither she nor MSNBC was about to let you forget it at any time during prime time hours.
