Daily Download: "Julie-Anne, Patron of Thieves," Skygreen Leopards

The back story for the Skygreen Leopards' new EP, "Jehovah Surrender," involves finding inspiration in an old friend of Arlo Guthrie's who used to have a band called Hobo Splendor -- a name that nicely evokes this shambling but lustrous music. I run pretty hot and cold on the Leopards' sloppy and surreal psych-folk, but this track (especially that nice fat guitar sound) does it for me.
