"Dance 1" is many-layered, wall-of-sound dance pop from the debut album, "Misty Medley," by the young Montreal band Kiss Me Deadly. I love the harmonic confusion here, as if there were several overlapping songs vying for primacy, with singer Emily Elizabeth's breathily frail but passionate voice nearly engulfed by the churning music below, but working up to sighing highs of mantralike intensity.
