It’s amazing that Craig Wedren, who made such contorted and fascinating music as the frontman of Shudder to Think, can now turn out a song as resolutely common and unremarkable as this one — although, in fairness, there are other songs on his solo debut, “Lapland,” with a good deal more bite; they’re just not available for free download. Still, that shiny plastic falsetto is in marvelous shape, and if you like your pop ingratiating and inconspicuous, this is the stuff for you.
