U.S. ambassador warns Iraqis that Americans don't want to pay for sectarian leadership.

From the "Takes One to Know One" Department, the Bush administration's ambassador to Iraq has responded to reports of government death squads there by warning Iraqis that they'd better not hand over their government to religious fanatics: "American taxpayers expect their money to be spent properly," Zalmay Khalilzad said Monday. "We are not going to invest the resources of the American people into forces run by people who are sectarian."
