To judge from the three tracks that are available for download on their Web page, I'm From Barcelona -- a band that, in fact, hails from Sweden -- plays big, generous, sloppy pop music, a bit like the Arcade Fire minus the anguish, emotional sophistication and subsequent cathartic payoff. "We're From Barcelona" skips straight to the uplifting, wordless singalong chorus you'd expect to find at the end of a song, which I think says quite a bit about the band's emotional agenda. "Chicken Pox" shuffles along amiably, and "Treehouse" adds some nice banjo to the band's orchestral pop sound. -- T.B.
