We're as excited as anyone about the upcoming film "Drawing Restraint 9," from artist Matthew Barney, and scored by his longtime real-life collaborator, Bjork. The over-the-top press materials claim that the film "includes a tanker truck filled with 25 tons of petroleum jelly; a parade of Japanese dancers; a tea ceremony in which Barney and Bjvrk wear costumes inspired by Shinto marriage rites; the creation of a mysterious tub-shaped jelly sculpture; Japanese pearl-diving girls; and a climax of alarming and fantastic transformations." It opens at the IFC theater March 29, followed by a regional rollout.
