In the six years since they were formed, the ramshackle feel-good retro pop collective Saturday Looks Good to Me has released two proper albums and a whole slew of EPs, 7-inches and other miscellany, most of which are long sold out and unavailable. The new Redder Records release, "Sound on Sound," collects 30 of those rare tracks, which are generally of just as high quality as the ones that made it onto the band's official full-lengths. Three tracks from it are available for download: "Lift Me Up," "Disaster" and the standout "Can't Ever Sleep," a lovelorn duet with the great line, "A broken radiator and a broken heart/ Isn't that where stories like this always start."
