Sen. John McCain went on “Meet the Press” Sunday, and faced a sampling of the likely grilling he’ll face next year if (when) he decides to again seek the Republican nomination for president. In the process, he had to revisit some of the statements that made him such an appealing option to independents in 2000, and made it clear he’ll be trying hard to reach Christian conservatives in 2008.
