Britney's love bomb

Britney Spears' appearance on Letterman last night to confirm her second pregnancy (with the cornball response to Dave's meddling: "Don't worry Dave, it's not yours") was as awkward to watch as the Late Night band's jazzy rendition of "My Prerogative." She's coming to resemble one of those celebrities who are so isolated from the real world (Elvis, Marlon, Liza) they are convinced everything they do is clever, and can't even begin to engage the people around them.
