The Winterpills of Northampton, Mass., are like a college-town coffeehouse version of Low -- which, come to think of it, is how I might have described Ida, so let's just say that Winterpills are like Ida. They play hushed, melancholic, folk-oriented indie rock, at its best when frontman Philip Price's hollow whisper of a voice is layered with Flora Reed's, as on "Want the Want," which slowly builds from ordinary to affecting.
