Can a chicken hawk fly?

White House counselor Dan Bartlett looks sharp in camo. Maybe he could get his own set.

When Josh Marshall pointed us toward the Associated Press photo above -- that's White House press secretary Tony Snow and White House counselor Dan Bartlett flying from the Baghdad airport to the Green Zone Tuesday -- we had one thought and one thought only:

We need these guys in the Army.

Snow is in his 50s and therefore too old to enlist. Bartlett? Last we heard, he's in his mid-30s. The Army would take him as an enlisted man up to age 39, but, really, why wait? As Bartlett's boss said in Baghdad Tuesday, "This is a moment -- this is a time where the world can turn one way or the other, where the world can be a better place or a more dangerous place." At a time like this, we know that we'd feel safer with Pfc. Bartlett on the job.
