As War Room noted earlier, some of President Bush's off-the-script comments during a G-8 summit lunch were picked up by a live microphone on Monday -- and quickly sent out to news stations around the world. Besides providing a glimpse "behind the scenes" of international diplomacy, they reveal two key facts about Bush: He likes to talk with his mouth full, and he doesn't mind swearing in the presence of other world leaders. "I feel like telling Kofi [Annan] to get on the phone with Assad and make something happen," he said to British Prime Minister Tony Blair, according to the New York Times, referring to Syria's president, Bashir Assad. "See, the irony is that what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and it's over." Listen to the clip (MP3) here.
