Bloomington, Ind., band Murder by Death sounds like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds with the mystery taken out -- or maybe a young Johnny Cash with the noir and punk put in. It's not especially distinctive, but it capably harvests the bounty of an already plentifully fertilized musical terrain, and this song is driven by the obvious but still pleasing refrain "You're not the greatest brother, but you're the only one that's mine."
