In this week's Conversations podcast, David Marchese interviews Sean Lennon about his recent solo album, "Friendly Fire," and the DVD released along with it, which features by cameos Lindsay Lohan, Asia Argento and Carrie Fisher and has his ex, Bijou Phillips, appearing in a starring role.
Is there an element of exhibitionism in what you're doing, or is it just necessary for you to process the events?
I don't think I'm an exhibitionist in kind of a kinky way like "look at me jerking off" or something. I just want people to know that I'm me. Not some sort of puppet. That I'm not some sort of cardboard figure that's, like, smiling in a picture of the Beatles or something.
