"There Is a Path," from inky-voiced Tindersticks frontman Stuart Staples, a master purveyor of dapper, tuxedoed melancholy, gives an idea of what mid-period Leonard Cohen might have sounded like if Cohen weren't so unremittingly tasteless in his arrangement and production decisions. Also available for free download from Staples' recent solo album, "Leaving Songs," is "That Leaving Feeling," a duet with Lhasa de Sela.
