Benoît Pioulard is the musical pseudonym of 21-year-old Thomas Meluch, whose home-recorded full-length debut, “Précis,” was recently released on Kranky Records. The vocals on this track don’t do much for me, but it doesn’t matter a bit because the production is so striking and so gorgeous — static but crackling with energy, lo-fi but with myriad engaging layers of noise.
