With Valentine's Day smack-dab in the middle, this is probably the pinkest week of the year. So it seemed utterly appropriate to bookend this week's downloads with two songs off a new compilation album curated by John Waters. You'd expect campy, schlocky stuff from the man who directed "Pink Flamingos," but "A Date With John Waters" proves that the trash-loving auteur has a good ear for classic rock and R&B, of which the 1956 hit "Ain't Got No Home" is a fine example. Over a sax-driven backing, Clarence "Frogman" Henry boasts that he can sing like a girl and, uh, a frog -- then does it. It's an irresistible bit of goofball novelty picked by a man with an unquenchable thirst for the stuff. Check back on Friday for an even more outrageous Waters selection.
