Before today, it would've been hard to think of something Paul McCartney and indie-rock touchstones Sonic Youth have in common. But then, in an interview with the Pitchfork Web site, Sonic Youth guitarist Thurston Moore said his band would be following in McCartney's footsteps and selling an upcoming album in the coffee chain's stores. Sonic Youth's Starbucks disc will not be new material but rather a compilation of the band's songs chosen by people like Beck, Wilco's Jeff Tweedy and fashion designer Marc Jacobs.
