Today's song, a reworking of the Righteous Brothers' "Soul and Inspiration," comes from a reissue of 1975's "King Tubby Meets the Aggrovators at Dub Station." A collaboration between highly influential reggae producer King Tubby and instrumental outfit the Aggrovators, the album -- and this song -- features Tubby's unconventional studio genius in full flower. Check out the way his sudden splashes of echoed guitar and clattering percussion asides take this sunny, uplifting tune to a stranger, ultimately more satisfying level.
