Thursday: "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew," better than you might imagine? Plus: What did you think of "Men in Trees" on Wednesday?

As cheap and pathetic as the title sounds, "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew" (10 p.m. EST on VH1) focuses less on celebrity and Dr. Drew than you'd imagine. Instead of a lot of flashy outrageousness and egocentric proclamations by the good doctor, the show has given us a sobering glimpse of the slow, painful process of addiction recovery. While the efficacy of seeking rehab while the cameras roll is questionable at best -- Daniel Baldwin exited after deciding the experience was threatening his sobriety -- this dreary series has to be applauded for reminding VH1-watching whippersnappers just how demeaning, wrenching and unglamorous rehab actually is.

Terrence Malick's breathtaking WWII film "The Thin Red Line" airs at 6 p.m. EST on IFC. Then, find out what happens on that bumpy helicopter flight tonight on "Lost" (9 p.m. EST on ABC) while those ill-tempered C-listers are up to no good on "Celebrity Apprentice" (9 p.m. EST on NBC). The New York Philharmonic is featured on "Great Performances" (9 p.m. EST on PBS, check listings), and the squabbling skinnies of "Make Me a Supermodel" face a chilly challenge (10 p.m. EST on Bravo).
