The Senate votes for the bailout

By a 74-25 vote the Senate says yes to a $700 billion rescue plan for Wall Street.

The ayes have it. By a 74-25 vote, the U.S. Senate passes the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008.

The ball is now in the House's court.
