Iowa, where it all began, goes to Obama

The state where the senator from Illinois broke through in the first caucuses comes through again.

On Jan. 3, Barack Obama won the Iowa caucuses and sent his campaign into overdrive. On Nov. 4, Iowans ratified their earlier decision, and the Midwestern state became the third Bush 2004 conquest to be called for the Democratic candidate for president.
