New Year's Resolutions for 2009
Cobrafrat
Come share your resolutions with us. It is my hope that we can build a community of support for one another as we try to keep our resolutions.
My first resolution is be 100% accountable for my finances by keeping track of every expenditure and revenue and create a reasonable budget where I can pay off some of my debts.

Get a job, sha-na-na-nah, sha-na-na-na-nah. That's my resolution.

Pay off the car.
Go to the Caymans.
Play with horse.

Bring my own bags more often when shopping.

Start bringing lunch to work at least 3 times a week.
Spend at least 15 minutes a day after work putting things away at home. (We're bad about leaving clutter around.)
Pay all bills the day we receive them to avoid the OMG, I forgot about this one and it might not squeak in on time.
Stop almost mindlessly ordering books off Amazon. Put them on my wish list and order if I still want them later and meanwhile READ THE BOOKS THAT ARE PILED IN STACKS AROUND THE HOUSE, dammit.
Even better, get in the habit of using the library. Then buy books I want to reread/own.
Rather than buy more things, concentrate on getting rid of unused things around here so the house becomes less full of stuff.

Try to quit caffeine (for the millionth time) by limiting self to one cup of coffee or two cups of tea (ETA: each day) for a month, then switching to decaf. (this is the second hardest resolution)

I'm praying for better health and more of a social life.

I'm going to try to clean up my potty mouth, which is no small undertaking, given that it involves tackling serious issues of interpersonal relationships and how I handle stress.
But I don't want my kid to be dropping F-bombs when he's 2.

I want to dance every day. A little bit. Every week-day anyway.

I think that I'm going to keep it simple: Remember that less can be more. That means don't over-commit. Don't overspend. Don't over-accumulate. Don't overeat. And I need to take my health more seriously.
