Shatner's dramatic reading of Palin

Only William Shatner can truly do justice to the former Alaska governor's lyrical brilliance

There really was only one man up to the task of reading former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's farewell speech the way it should have been read: William Shatner, of course. So God bless Conan O'Brien for giving him the chance.

I do have to say this doesn't live up to Shatner's classic dramatic reading of Elton John's "Rocketman," but it's not far off. If only they'd included Palin's line about the media, "Democracy depends on you and that's why our troops are willing to die for you. So how about in honor of the American soldier ya quit making things up?"
